  • Barranco camp (3976m - 13,044ft) on Kilimanjaro. Usually only one more camp before you attempt the walk to the summit is a great acclimatisation point and you get to see some of the unique giant Lobelia flowers and mountain animals scurrying about, as well as a chance to look up at The Breach (for a technical ascent) and the Barranco Wall - where you will go the next morning.

Potosi is one of the highest cities in the world at 4,090 metres (13,420 ft), the remote mountain behind it was a massive silver mine, discovered in 1545 and at it's peak an estimated 85% of the silver produced in the central Andes came from Cerro Rico. As a result of mining the city of Potosí became one of the largest cities in the New World.
