Opened in 1923 the Copacabana Palace is a classic venue on Copacabana beach in Rio de janeiro. Given its illustrious history I was amused to see this wedding dress hanging in the window - and wondering about the story around it. The hotel was nearly demolished in the 1980s but bought by the Orient Express Group in 1989 and is now part of their Belmond chain.
