Taxi service on Lake Atitlan in the Guatemalan Highlands and Sierra Madre mountain range. Surrounded by volcanoes it is a dramatic place to visit, described by Aldous Huxley as the “limit of the permissibly picturesque” and “Como with additional embellishments of several immense volcanoes”. Added to which are a number of traditional Mayan villages rich in local traditions - although the 'Drunken Saint' - Maximón - is one of the more strange ones!)
